A Complete
"Tell Me a Story"

For more than ten years until 1996, Marjorie Leet Ford produced the radio program Tell Me A Story with David Litwin. With novelist Herbert Gold as host and guide, listeners were treated each week to a visit to the home of another renowned short story author, who would read for us. By the time our run was over, the program was heard on about 100 NPR stations around the country.

Here is your secret place to hear an occasional story. Every month or so we will put up a different Tell Me A Story in this space. So bookmark us, wail till you have half an hour for a treat, sit back, and enjoy.

Here’s an example of extremely budget-friendly music recycling. For a radio PSA for WildCare Marin, David used a track he owns—in this case a cue he composed for the Bank of America presentation cited elsewhere on this page—to accompany the message read by Bay Area Back Roads’ Doug McConnell. David has many of his compositions available for licensing, as well as music from top production libraries.
