Audio production rates are $100./hour, including engineer. Whether we're recording voiceovers, searching for & transferring library music/sfx, multitracking, mixing, editing (DAW or anaolg), mastering, duping, converting file formats — all are billed at the same rate. Simple. One hour minimum billing; half-hour increments beyond the first hour. Weekend rates: $120./hour. Flexible rates available for longer bookings.

Original music rates vary by project, according to length & complexity, above-line costs (e.g. outside studio, musicians, copyist, cartage, etc.), intended use, ownership agreements, and, of course, your budget. Call for quote.

Production library music licenses: Basic non broadcast— $150/selection for FirstCom, Music House, Chappell, KPM, Bruton, Sonoton, Soundstage, or Manhattan. $130 / selection for Omnimusic. Existing original music that we own is available to license @ $250 /selection. “Blanket” licenses available. Broadcast, Internet, CD-ROM, cable, theatrical, & for retail sale: Ask for quote.

No license fees charged for production sound effects.

Studio time accrues for search/transfer of production music and sound effects.

Original sound effects creation charged according to complexity. The range is typically $200.–300.

Remote direct-to-stereo recording service is available. Ask for quote.

Materials charges— 90’ DAT: $15. (other lengths comparable) 100 MB ZIP cart: $25. CD-R’s, cassettes, DVDs charged nominally. Half-inch analog tape (3M 966 or equivalent): $75./ 2500’ roll (includes metal reel). Quarter-inch tape (3M 966 or equivalent): $40./2500’ roll (no reel). Do feel free to BYO blanks!

Cancellations less than 24 hours before booked session will be charged at book rate, unless we can sell the time. “No-shows” charged at book rate.
